It took a while to install the software, but nothing difficult. After that you just enjoy the device! Totally love its color and size!

We all love these little handy drives: great size, portability, etc. However, with this Seagate product you have to figure that it is fundamentally a disposable, throw-away hard drive. After just a little over a year of VERY light use, it totally failed. Luckily, I didn't use it for serious file backup, but for prtablity between my home and office. Oh well, ANOTHER Seagate China-manufactured product into the garbge can.

I bought this product. Unfortunately, I did not buy it from Amazon or I would return it to them. I read how complicated it is to return it to the company. I put all my presentations on it since I travel all over the US and wanted something that could hold a lot of information. It worked fine for about three months and then crashed!!! Do not buy this product. I tried to contact customer service and their hours are from 8-5 Mon. thru Fri. Since I called on a weekend, I could not get through. They do have a hotline for "crisis" service and since I had an upcoming presentation, I dialed the number. A recording asked for your call back number and then proceeds to state that the initial cost will be $5,000 dollars. Are you kidding me??? Do not buy this product!!!!!

It was very easy to set up this drive and start using it. Unfortunately, soon after I started using the drive, my system crashed (Windows 7 Home Premium Edition). Once I disconnected the drive, the system booted back up, but if I re-connected it, within a few minutes my system crashed again. I returned the drive to Amazon..thank goodness for Amazon's excellent customer support and ease of returning items with which you are not satisfied.
